Our firm, as our name implies, performs work in Audit, Tax, and Advisory. Leppert Company CPAs partners with car dealerships, non-profit companies, small businesses for set up and recurring needs, individuals with rental properties, individuals needing tax planning, as well as defending audits brought by the IRS against people. These items are our specialties, but we are always available for other client needs as well.
Matt Leppert, CPA, MT, Founder and President, has more than 35 years experience in both taxation and auditing. His specializations include real estate, construction companies, architectural firms, automotive dealerships, non-profit entities, pension audits and Federal Award OMBA-133 audits. Recently, Matt was a key player in working with The Ohio Department of Insurance and the Ohio Society of CPAs in revising a state rule for Agreed Upon Procedures regarding Title Insurance Agencies. Matt has been a presentor to groups including the Financial Planner's Association of Central Ohio, the Columbus Board of Realty, and the Ohio Society of CPAs. Prior to founding this firm, Matt was a co-owner of another CPA firm, a Senior Manager with Deloitte & Touche, and with a regional CPA firm. Matt graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from The Ohio State University, a Master's Degree in Taxation from Capital University, and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is also a member of American Institure of Certified Pulbic Accountants.
Amanda Mills, CPA, Staff Accountant, joined the Firm in November, 2012 with more than 18 years experience, having worked with the State of Ohio Auditor’s Office and a Regional multi-partner CPA firm. She specializes in the preparation of Financial Statements, Compilations, Reviews, and Agreed Upon Proceedures. She also prepares tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations and non-proft organizations. Amanda is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Major in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Tina Ayer, Staff Accountant, joined the firm in January, 2012 with 5 years of experience working for a multi-partner Columbus CPA firm. She has experience with business and individual tax matters and accounting systems. She prepares compilations, assists clients with QuickBooks and works with clients on site & on-line as a Virtual CFO. Tina also prepares 1099's, individual, partnership, corporate & non-profit tax returns. Her CPA firm experience blended with work experiences in other industries provides her with the ability to work with a number of different accounting platforms. Tina earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Fayetteville State University in North Carolina where she was named to the Dean’s list.
Aimee Gould, Staff Accountant, joined the Firm in November, 2014 wth 14 years of experience working in public accounting firms in Michigan and Indiana. She has experience in working with small businesses and individual accounting and taxation needs. She performs financial statement compilations, reviews and audits, and prepares individual, partnership, corporate and non-profit returns. She also provides QuickBooks and Peachtree accounting services.. Aimee enjoys working closely with clients to help them manage their tax and accounting needs. Aimee graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 2002. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of CPAs.
Kelli McCrady, Staff Accountant, joined the Firm in October 2018. She came to Leppert Company CPAs with a background of 4 years in public accounting with a large U.S. accounting firm, and an additional 2 years in corporate tax work. Kelli is skilled in preparing corporate, partnership and individual tax returns, as well as bookkeeping and tax planning. Kelli is a graduate of Ohio University with a Major in Accounting.
Margaret Leppert, Office Operations and Marketing Director, is a Certified Paralegal. She has worked with major law firms such as Baker & Hostetler and Emens, Hurd, Kegler & Ritter, as well as for the U.S. Department of Justice. Margaret is responsible for following through on contacts initiated with the firm, and promoting awareness of the firm in the business community. She handles the current clients of the firm, making sure that their needs are met, and they are kept happy as friends of the firm. Margaret is also responsible for the administrative operations of Leppert Company CPAs so that the firm runs smoothly for the benefit of our clients. Margaret graduated from Westminster College with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and a Paralegal Certification from Ohio Dominican College.
